Suggested but highly flexible itinerary:
Your Chauffeur will collect you from your Hobart accommodation at 8:30am and begin the scenic drive across the River Derwent and along the Tasman Highway. Travel through rolling countryside, past lagoons, estuaries, forests and islands that define this unique region.
Stop at Eaglehawk Neck to enjoy sweeping views across Pirates Bay and admire the Tasman Peninsula’s dramatic coastal cliffs and jagged rock formations.
Continue to the Port Arthur Historic Site, Australia’s largest and most significant convict settlement. Explore the extensive grounds and preserved buildings at your own pace. While general site talks and tours are available, you may choose to enhance your visit with a private guide for a deeper and more personalised insight into the site’s history.
For lunch, enjoy a relaxed picnic or café-style meal, depending on your preference.
In the afternoon, take a selection of short walks within Tasman National Park to iconic coastal lookouts. There is also the option to include local food experiences, such as a visit to a nearby winery or oyster farm to sample fresh regional produce.
After a full day of exploration, relax on the scenic return journey to Hobart, arriving back at your accommodation by approximately 5:30pm.
